FTMO Futures Review: Growth vs Pro, Rules and Payouts
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Growth vs Pro: what traders need to know | September 2026
FTMO Futures offers a single evaluation followed by a Sim-Funded account where eligible performance can earn real payouts. Growth has lower fees and softer daily-loss treatment. Pro provides more drawdown room and larger payout caps, with stricter daily risk limits. [2, 5]
Company background and payout history
FTMO was founded in 2015 by Otakar Suffner and Marek Vasicek and operates from Prague, Czech Republic. Its Futures programme is a newer product; the launch announcement describes it as being in beta. The company's history is longer than the Futures product's track record. [1, 9]
How much has FTMO paid? FTMO reports more than $650 million in rewards across its wider business. This is a company-reported figure, not an independently audited finding in this review. A separate Futures-only payout total was not found in the official sources reviewed. [1]
How you move from evaluation to payouts
- Evaluation: Meet the profit target and consistency requirement while respecting risk limits.
- Sim-Funded: Complete identity checks and the agreement; trade simulated funds with eligibility for real payouts.
- Live Funded: Selected traders may be invited after a performance review. Passing does not automatically provide live capital. [2]

| Plan / size | Monthly | Reset | Target | EOD drawdown | Daily loss |

| Growth 50K | $119 | $109 | $3,000 | $2,000 | None |
| Growth 100K | $169 | $159 | $6,000 | $3,500 | None |

| Pro 50K | $139 | $129 | $3,000 | $3,000 | $1,000 hard |
| Pro 100K | $199 | $189 | $6,000 | $4,500 | $1,500 hard |
| Pro 150K | $269 | $259 | $9,000 | $6,000 | $2,000 hard |

Understand the actual cost
The evaluation fee renews monthly until cancellation or a confirmed pass. There is no Sim-Funded activation fee. Breaching an evaluation does not automatically cancel billing, and buying a reset does not move the renewal date. [4, 10]
Budget example: Two standard $119 monthly payments for Growth 50K total $238. Adding a $109 reset brings that to $347, before any applicable discount. Passing quickly and avoiding resets can materially reduce your total cost. [3; calculation]
How the risk rules work
The details that affect passing and keeping your account
Evaluation consistency: 40% Growth / 50% Pro
Your best trading day must stay within the plan's permitted share of total evaluation profit. There is no separate minimum-days rule, but consistency still limits how quickly you can pass. The consistency requirement is removed on Sim-Funded accounts. [3, 11]
Example: If your best day earns $1,800, a 40% limit requires at least $4,500 total profit ($1,800 / 0.40). At 50%, it requires $3,600. Simply reaching a $3,000 target would not satisfy either example. [Calculation from published percentages]
End-of-day drawdown is enforced during trading
The trailing threshold moves using previous end-of-day balances. Your equity, including open profit/loss and commissions, must remain above it throughout the session. You cannot touch the limit and recover later. The trailing limit eventually locks at the initial capital. [4]
| Growth 50K example | Drawdown threshold |
|---|---|
| Starting balance: $50,000 | $48,000 initially |
| Day closes at $51,000 | $49,000 next session |
| Later closing balance falls to $50,500 | Remains $49,000; does not move down |

Daily-loss treatment changes after passing
| Account size | Growth evaluation | Growth Sim-Funded | Pro: both stages |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50K | None | $1,000 soft | $1,000 hard |
| 100K | None | $2,000 soft | $1,500 hard |
| 150K | None | $3,000 soft | $2,000 hard |
Soft: A daily breach does not automatically end Growth's Sim-Funded account. Hard: Hitting Pro's daily limit fails the evaluation or terminates the Sim-Funded account. Overall drawdown remains a separate limit. [4, 5]
Platforms, position sizes and session close
Platforms: NinjaTrader, Tradovate and TradingView. Evaluation limits are 5 / 10 / 15 mini-equivalent contracts for 50K / 100K / 150K. Sim-Funded accounts start below these ceilings and scale with profit; micros count at one-tenth of a mini. [7, 12]
Session close: Close positions and cancel resting orders before 4:10 p.m. ET or the relevant market close, whichever is earlier. Holding across the close is not permitted. News trading is allowed, subject to the prohibited-practices policy. [8, 13]
Strategy restrictions: Do not copy another trader's decisions, hedge across accounts, exploit delayed prices or rely solely on platform drawdown liquidation as your exit. Automation is permitted within the rules; latency arbitrage and high-frequency strategies are prohibited. [14]
Getting paid: the key rules
Qualifying days, withdrawal limits and choosing your plan
| Plan / size | Days per cycle | Daily profit needed | Request cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth 50K | 4 | $150+ | $2,500 |
| Growth 100K | 4 | $250+ | $3,000 |
| Growth 150K | 4 | $300+ | $4,000 |
| Pro 50K | 5 | $200+ | $5,000 |
| Pro 100K | 5 | $300+ | $6,000 |
| Pro 150K | 5 | $500+ | $8,000 |
Each qualifying day must meet the daily profit threshold. Days required do not promise payment arrival within four or five calendar days. [3]
How much can you actually receive?
Growth: Request up to 50% of eligible account profit. Pro: Up to 100%. Both have a 90% trader share; the cap and other conditions still apply. At least half of a request must come from profit earned in the current payout cycle. [5, 15]
Growth example: With $3,000 eligible profit, the 50% limit permits a $1,500 request. The trader receives $1,350 after the 90/10 split, assuming all other rules are satisfied.
New-profit example: A $2,000 request needs at least $1,000 new cycle profit. Old retained profit alone is insufficient. [15; calculations]
Withdrawal process and a Pro warning
Requests are made in the Client Area and remain subject to approval. Confirming a request closes positions and pending orders; the requested sum is deducted from the account. You may then resume trading. A full Pro withdrawal can breach drawdown, so check the balance left after withdrawal. [6]
The stated minimum payout is $20, paid in USD. Listed methods include Wise, Revolut bank wire, Visa Direct and Mastercard Send, subject to regional restrictions. Mastercard Send is unavailable to US clients. [6]
Growth or Pro: our assessment
Choose based on your trading record: Growth may suit traders prioritising a lower monthly fee and softer daily-loss treatment. Pro may suit disciplined traders who value more drawdown room and larger withdrawals, and can reliably respect a hard daily limit. Compare the rules with your typical losing day before choosing.
